We got the results of the biopsy. It’s Large B-Cell Lymphoma.
So, we’re not doing surgery after all. Treatment is chemo, possibly chemo and radiation. My case is being transferred to Emory’s Winship Cancer Institute. They’re supposed to contact us tomorrow.
I’m…kinda numb right now.
Sending good thoughts and healing wishes. They do good things with lymphomas these days, and thalidomide is helping. The pre-natal scourge of the 1950s is a cancer blaster and primo anti-nausea drug. Who knew? Here's hoping all of the advances work in your favor.
Thank you, Jay, but I don't know...don't think so. I'm burying myself in researching everything I can about this type of lymphoma and the likely course of treatment I'll be receiving--both chemo and radiation--and educating myself on what to expect. I've still got more questions than answers about my specific case, which I need to talk to my doctors for resolution. Hate all this waiting and these endless question marks.
