11:30 am, groggy, with a skunk

Hobkin came back from the vet's chipper, alert, and energetic. Not at all acting the way you'd expect a critter who'd been opened up, had pieces extracted, and been sewn back together again to be. All good. He's doing great.

He was trotting around again immediately.

Matthew, on the other hand, is just getting worse. The tentative surgery date is in something like fifteen days. At this rate, it's going to be a torturous fifteen days. The poor thing can barely sit, much less stand or walk around. Ack.

Driving him in for pre-surgery tests tomorrow--blood work, etc. I really hope this surgery works.
