Hobkin is officially blowing his coat. The Furminator helps tons (thank you [info]aimeempayne!), but there are still tufts of undercoat fuzz drifting throughout the house. Wonder if the vacuum cleaner will survive.

When Fudge (our Persian princess) dumps her winter coat it just gets stuck in the rest of her fuzz, so we get her shaved. She's a black/white bicolor, and got several comments about her resemblance to a pre-shave, but the first words out of a friend's mouth when he saw her post-shave were, "Oh, my god." My brother-in-law calls her the miniature Holstein.

Adorable pets make life so much better. :-)
